Why Choose 24V LED Strips?
The popularity of 24V LED strips is based on their practicality and high light quality. Key benefits include:
- Versatility and adjustability: LED strips can be cut and installed to fit specific areas, adapting easily to different spaces and lighting needs.
- Long lifespan: LED technology ensures long-lasting brightness with low maintenance costs.
- Energy efficiency: LED strips consume little power, making them both eco-friendly and cost-effective.
Popular Applications
24V LED strips are widely used across various rooms and lighting scenarios:
- Kitchens and countertops: Bright task lighting is especially useful for countertops where good illumination is essential.
- Ambient lighting for living rooms and bedrooms: LED strips help create a warm, cozy atmosphere.
- Bathrooms and saunas: IP-rated LED strips are moisture-resistant, making them ideal for wet areas.
How to Choose the Right LED Strip
When planning to purchase and install LED strips, a few key factors help ensure a successful and long-lasting setup:
- Color temperature: Choose the right light color for the desired mood:
- Warm white 3000K – Ideal for cozy, relaxing spaces.
- Neutral white 4000K – Suitable for general lighting and a natural tone.
- Cool white 5700K – Great for task lighting and high visibility areas.
- Selecting a 24V power supply: LED strips require a compatible 24V transformer. Choose a power supply that is 20–30% more powerful than the strip’s calculated wattage. For example, a 2-meter 24V LED strip that consumes 12W/m requires 24W total – so we recommend at least a 30W 24V power supply. These ON/OFF power supplies work both with standard wall switches and wireless dimmers. If you want to dim the LED strip using a traditional wall dimmer, you’ll need a TRIAC-dimmable 24V power supply.
- Installation and mounting: Most LED strips come with pre-applied adhesive backing and pre-soldered wires on at least one end for easy setup.
- LED profiles: To keep the LED strip cool and protected, we recommend using LED profiles. They ensure a clean finish and extend the lifespan of the strip.
- Accessories: Our range includes connectors and cables for simplified installation. For example, if you're connecting the strip to a wall socket, you’ll need a 2m plug-in cable.
- Protection and placement: IP20-rated LED strips are for indoor use only. For humid areas like bathrooms or outdoors, select a moisture-protected strip. Explore our IP65-rated LED strips.
