12V LED strips for high quality lighting

12V LED strips are available at different color temperatures: warm (3000K), neutral (4000K) and cold (6000K). In homes, warm white 3000K is the most popular in use, but for example. Modern kitchens often use 4000K as it gives a cleaner white light with less jaundice. However, the color temperature of the light is a matter of taste, and the traditional incandescent bulbs are 2700k in comparison.


LED Strip Installation

For installing 12V LED strips, you'll need a 12V constant voltage power supply. It's advisable to choose a power supply that's approximately 20–30% more powerful than your actual requirement. For instance, if you're using a 12W/m 12V LED strip and the length is 2 meters (12W x 2m = 24W), opt for at least a 30W 12V constant voltage power supply.

LED strips come with adhesive backing for easy mounting. We recommend using LED profiles for cooling and protection, which also provide a neat and stylish installation. For straightforward setup, our selection includes various connectors and cables.

IP20-rated LED strips are suitable for indoor use. For bathrooms or outdoor applications, choose an IP-rated LED strip like the IP67 LED strips.

Choosing a 12V LED Strip

LED strips come in various types with different features. The installation method influences the type you need. If you're installing the LED strip in a shallow LED profile (depth around 1 cm), we recommend selecting a high-density strip with at least 120 LEDs per meter. Examples include:

For longer runs (e.g., over 3 meters), we recommend using 24V LED strips.

Recommendations by Application

  • Ambient lighting (stairs, baseboards, display cabinets, etc.): 3W/m, 6W/m, or 7.2W/m LED strip
  • Kitchen worktops and other task lighting: 12W/m or 18W/m LED strip
  • Indirect lighting, showrooms, and high ceilings: 18W/m or 25W/m LED strip
