Answers to questions about the Light Factory. We sell LED-products both directly to consumers and wholesale to professional customers. Our products are available for purchase both online and LED-our store in Nummela.

What and who is Valotehdas?

Valotehdas is a 100% domestic company, whose official name is LumiComp Oy. Our CEO is electronics engineer Markus Narva. LED-Our shop / warehouse is located in Nummela, Finland. Ajurintie 2, 03100 Nummela.

LED-Johanna, Tero, Petri and Mikko also work in our shop and online store and serve you. Welcome to visit us!

Do you have wholesale business?

Yes, we offer wholesale prices for professional customers. If you are an interior designer/architect, electrician or contractor, register as a wholesale customer here.

PAYMENT METHODS FOR COMPANIES


For small orders, i.e. individual accessories, you can also order with a company credit card or bank details, normally directly through the checkout of our online shop.

INVOICE FOR BUSINESSES


For companies, associations and public sector customers we offer a 14 days interest-free payment period by invoice. Choose Invoice for business customers at the checkout. We will send the invoice to your billing address by post after the order has been delivered, if we have not received your e-invoice address. NOTE! When a company orders from us for the first time, the invoice for the first order will include a prepayment before delivery.

How do I find the right IP class luminaire?

Indoor IP20

Bathroom IP44, 

Outdoors under eaves, IP21 is usually sufficient, LED-For tapes we recommend IP65, IP67 for tapes outside

Other outdoor luminaires IP44 or I67

Below are examples of common IP values, you can read more about IP classes here.

IP20 - A standard indoor luminaire is normally rated IP 20, which means that the device is protected against medium-sized objects (such as a finger). There is no protection in other respects.
IP21 - For outdoor use in a rain-proof enclosure such as a canopy, the IP21 enclosure class is sufficient, i.e. drip-proof.
IP23 - Rainproof luminaire. Used where protection from overhead water is required.
IP44 - Protected against splash water. For example, a luminaire that is well protected both from conductors (objects thicker than 1.0 mm) and from water splashing from all directions. The fixture is not normally waterproof, but can be fitted with a waterproofing system to prevent water from entering the electrical components and also to ensure that water can escape from the luminaire.
IP54/55 - Protected against dust and water spray. The IP54 or IP55 marked device can be used in dusty areas and outdoors as it is protected against water splashes. This marking is also common for example in damp locations.
IP66 - Dust-tight and protected against water spray. IP6x is the highest enclosure class for mechanical penetration (objects/dust). IPx6 means protection against strong water jets or wave splashes. Such equipment is often cleaned with a pressure hose or installed in boats where it is directly exposed to waves.
IP67 - Dust and waterproof. Same mechanical penetration resistance as IP66, but the device must also be waterproof for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 metre.
IP68 - Continuous immersion. Typical stamping used for electrical equipment submersible in water, such as submersible pumps. This could be a pool light, a water pump, a geothermal heat pump or an aquarium pump.

How to install LED-tape?

Installing a Led strip is usually very easy and LED-The wiring of the strip can be done by anybody, with certain main limitations. And especially when you have the right accessories at your disposal.

I have not received an order confirmation?

First check your spam folder, and if you can't find your order confirmation there either, please contact our customer service team so that we can check the status of your order and correct any errors, for example in the email address. Is Valotehdas a reliable company?

We are a 100% domestic family business. We also have the highest AAA credit rating from Bisnode.

Bisnode is a trusted international credit rating agency that has awarded the highest AAA credit rating to the Light Factory, Lumicomp Ltd. To qualify for the rating, good and developing financial ratios, a positive business background and a reliable payment history are required. The highest AAA credit rating also reflects the high quality of services and products.

How quickly do you deliver?

We ALWAYS aim to dispatch within the same working day all orders received before 13.00! Products are shipped from our Nummela store, so you can see the stock balances for all products in our warehouse in the online store. The same products are therefore available for purchase both in our shop and in our online shop.

We send the products from our stock immediately on the day of ordering or at the latest on the next working day after ordering, so depending on the delivery method, delivery takes 1-3 days - even less.

Our products are delivered by Schenker and Matkahuolto. You can also pick up your order directly from our warehouse immediately after ordering.LED-We can deliver your order from our warehouse or our shop in Nummela.

Can I come and pick up my order from the store?

Yes, you can come and pick up your order from our Nummela store immediately after you place your order - products that are in stock immediately are in stock and available in our store.

What delivery methods are available?

We dispatch orders every working day, so we estimate a delivery time of 1-3 working days for all products in stock. We specialise in the safe delivery of profiles up to 2m in length, well packed and you can choose any of the delivery methods we offer for aluminium profiles.

Matkahuolto's Nearby parcels and Schenker's pick-up point parcels within 2-4 working days.

Matkahuolto bus package usually arrives in 1-2 working days.

Matkahuolto Home Package (Door-to-door parcel.) The recipient will be called within 1-2 working days of the pick-up and a delivery time will be arranged. Delivery in larger cities until 9pm. In other places until 14:00.)

Pick up from our store in Nummela. Ajurintie on weekdays from 8-16, see our opening hours. Parcels delivered to the company's premises usually arrive within 1-2 working days (DB Schenker business parcel and Posti Express 16).

We deliver orders either via DB Schenker, i.e. the order can be picked up at the nearest R-kiosk or K-store, or as a Matkahuolto Nearby parcel, depending on your choice. You can also choose to have your products delivered by Post. In addition, companies can also choose to have their products delivered directly to the company's premises.

You can see the delivery costs in the checkout section of the online shop before final approval of your order. Shipit is responsible for the logistics of our delivery systems and you will receive a tracking number by email when your order is dispatched, which you can use to track the progress of your shipment with the delivery company.

If a product is lost or damaged during delivery, this must be reported to the online shop without delay, but within 14 days. In the case of packages damaged during delivery, the company responsible for the delivery must be informed without delay.

SURVEY
If the products to be delivered are made-to-order products, i.e. the products are not in stock at the time of ordering and the order is delivered as a follow-up delivery, the delivery time is usually approximately 1-3 weeks. You can see the stock status of the product on the product pages and in the shopping cart. Products in stock are also available for purchase in our shop.

What are the cancellation and return conditions?

You can order products with confidence as we have 30 days free exchange and refund policy!

Our online shop gives you a 30-day exchange and return period in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. The customer has the right to exchange or return some or all of the products in the order. The products to be returned or exchanged must preferably be in their original packaging and in good condition.

If you wish to return or exchange products, please first contact our customer service and ask for return instructions and we will provide you with a return code. Please include your name, contact details and account number with your return for a possible refund.

If the returned product has been used in breach of the buyer's legal duty of care, the company is entitled to charge a reduction in value up to the full price of the product plus return costs.

If the transaction is cancelled, the goods must be returned without delay and no later than 30 days after the notice of cancellation has been given to our return address below.

When returning a delivered order, please include your order number, name and contact details and your account number for refund purposes. We will refund the money you have paid for the order accordingly within approximately one week of receiving the refund in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

What do I do if there is an error or problem?

In consumer transactions, we comply with the mandatory liability provisions of the Consumer Protection Act.

Before the order is delivered, you can cancel the order by sending us a written notice by e-mail.

Please check the delivery as soon as you receive it. If the product is lost or damaged in transit or otherwise does not correspond to your order or is defective, please notify us as soon as possible and within 14 days at the latest. to our customer serviceand we will agree on how to rectify the error.

Consumers have the right to take any disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board.

What are the terms of the guarantee

All our products have a minimum 2-year guarantee, LED-up to 7 years for tapes. We choose only high quality, safe and durable products for our range.

The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. The warranty period is 2-7 years, depending on the product, as stated in the product information. If the buyer suspects that the defect is caused by the Light Factory's product, the buyer must inform the Light Factory. We offer primarily technical support to solve the problem. If the problem is not solved by technical support, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the warranty conditions.

The warranty covers only those LED-Lamps, luminaires, profiles and power supplies whose use complies with the following conditions:

The operating conditions comply with the information on the products and their packaging and the electrical network standards generally used in Finland, unless otherwise specified in the instructions for use.
The ambient temperature shall never exceed the operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, with the exception of pool/sauna LED-lamps.

The product is used in a luminaire with at least 10 mm of air around the body of the products.
The guarantee is only valid if the dimmable lamps are LED-products are controlled LED by a dimmer designed for use.
This warranty is only valid if, for example, products designed for 12V voltage LED-products designed for LED-designed for use with a constant voltage converter or a 12V DC battery, etc.

The warranty does not cover the cost of labour for installation or removal of the products and the warranty compensation cannot exceed the price paid for the product. The products are covered by a product warranty, which covers the replacement of the defective product with a new identical or equivalent product. If a product covered by the guarantee is no longer available, Valotehdas will replace it with an equivalent or closest substitute from its current range of products. If the original product is no longer available, the technical characteristics of the replacement product may differ in some respects from those of the original. However, the replacement product may not differ substantially from the original product. In warranty situations, these warranty conditions apply and the buyer may not rely on any other information or documentation. No third party shall be entitled to alter, modify or extend the warranty of the Photofactory under any circumstances.

The warranty is valid only when the product is properly wired and installed in accordance with the electrical ratings specified in IEC standards or other documentation supplied with the product, in the area of use and under ambient conditions.

The product must be installed in a place where the relative humidity under no circumstances exceeds the conditions corresponding to the IP rating indicated for the product. If no IP rating is known or specified for the product, it is assumed to be IP20.

The warranty does not cover damage or malfunction caused by acts of nature, misuse, or use contrary to the applicable standard, code or instruction manual, including without limitation those contained in the latest safety, industrial and/or electrical standards in the relevant area. The warranty is void if the product has been modified.

The lighting manufacturer is not responsible for power supply conditions, including supply peaks, overvoltage/undervoltage and pulsating current control systems, which are outside the specified limits of the products, or those specified by the relevant power supply standards (e.g. EN 50160 standards).

How can I track the progress of my order?

You will receive an order confirmation by email once your order has been placed. Once we have delivered your order to the carrier of your choice, you will receive an email with a link to the delivery tracking page, where you can track the progress of your order.

Can't find the product I want in stock?

You can still place an order for the product! If your order contains products that are immediately available in our stock, we will send them to you as soon as your order reaches us and you will receive the remaining products as soon as they arrive in our warehouse. There are no extra charges for these two deliveries.

Our warehouse receives products daily and most of the products have a delivery time of about 1-2 weeks. If a product has a longer delivery time, we will contact you and you can always ask our customer service team about the delivery of your product if you have any questions.

If your product can be replaced with a better/equivalent product, we may contact you (usually by phone) to arrange a replacement to ensure faster delivery. Again, there is no extra cost to you, we offer this service because it is important to us that you get your product on time!

If your aftermarket products need to be delivered in a hurry, please mention this in the message box with your order or contact our customer service team so we can accommodate your installation time in the best possible way.

When will I receive my order?

If you order on a weekday before 13.00 and your products are immediately available in our warehouse, your order will be sent to you on the same day! You will receive an email notification of the delivery of your order and a tracking code to monitor the progress of your order. Delivery companies will often deliver your order to you by the next working day, but you should allow two to three days for delivery.

Shipments broken in transit

We pack our products so well that damage in transit is extremely rare, but sometimes damage does occur with carriers.

Please check the condition of your shipment as soon as you pick it up. If your shipment is damaged in transit, please notify the customer service representative who delivered your package.

Take a picture of the damaged package and contact our customer service team so we can arrange for a new product to be delivered as quickly as possible. We will process the claim with the carrier and send you a new replacement product immediately.

Payment methods in the online shop

All payments in our online shop, with the exception of PayPal and business bills, are handled securely and quickly by Visma Pay, which is registered in the register of payment institutions maintained by the Financial Supervisory Authority.

Through Visma Pay you can pay with your online banking ID, wallet, payment card (credit/debit), invoice or instalment.

BUSINESS INVOICE
For companies, associations and public sector customers, we offer a 14-day interest-free payment period on invoice. Select Invoice for corporate customers at checkout. You can send us your company's e-invoice address by email or by including it in the message field of your order, after which we will always invoice your order online.

If this is the first time your company is ordering from our online shop, we reserve the right to send you an invoice for your order, after payment we will deliver the products.

In our shop, payment methods include debit and credit cards, Mobilepay and Klarna invoice (ask at the checkout!).

Are the products I order compatible?

We check all orders received by us in connection with the packaging as closely as possible for compatibility, i.e. if you have ordered with a voltage of 24V, for example. LED-tape and a 12V transformer, we will contact you to check if this was the case. You can also send us the contents of your shopping basket for checking before you place your order:

  • Go to the shopping cart page and click on the "Share and save shopping cart" button below the products.
  • Save the link from your shopping cart to return to your shopping cart where the products you have selected are located.
  • Send the link to us by email, you can include the information you are wondering about and what you are about to enlighten.
  • We will get back to you as soon as possible!

Can I order 2 metre lengths LED-profiles from the online shop?

Yes, we are used to shipping 2 metre lengths. LED-profiles and you can choose your preferred delivery method from all our delivery options. We pack the profiles well and get them safely and reliably delivered to your destination within a few working days!

In some rare situations, you can also choose delivery to a Matkahuolto delivery point, for example. 2m long profiles do not fit into a delivery point for pick-up, but in this case they will automatically be picked up from the nearest delivery point that might normally be a Matkahuolto delivery point, such as a K-store, etc.
