Good kitchen lighting puts bright, even light exactly where you work, without glare or shadows. LED strips under the wall cabinets light the worktop, while strips above the cabinets create a soft ceiling glow.
What to look for
- Dotless COB strips: an even line of light that does not reflect as dots on glossy worktops.
- CRI 90+: food and surfaces look natural.
- 9–11 W/m: the right brightness for worktop lighting.
- 3000–4000K: warm-neutral light that works in most kitchens.
